Terms of Use

Last updated October 21, 2026

These terms apply when you use the Snowly app and website. By using Snowly, you agree to them.

Snowly is not an emergency service

Snowly helps your friends and nearby skiers find you, but it depends on your phone, battery, signal and other people responding. It doesn't contact ski patrol or emergency services for you. In an emergency, call the resort's ski patrol or your local emergency number. Fall detection can miss falls and can raise false alarms. Ski within your ability and follow the resort's rules.

Your account

You need an account to use Snowly, signed in with email or Sign in with Apple. Keep your devices secure, and give a name that doesn't impersonate someone else. You must be at least 14 years old. You can delete your account at any time in the app.

Sharing with others

When you join a trip, add friends or send an SOS, the people involved see your information as described in the Privacy Policy. Only share your invite codes with people you trust. You're responsible for what you post—your name, photo and voice messages—and must not use Snowly to harass, track or endanger anyone.

Acceptable use

Don't misuse Snowly: no sending false SOS alerts, interfering with the service, scraping it, reverse engineering it except where the law allows, or using it to break the law.

Our content

Snowly, its design and its content belong to us or our licensors. Map data © Mapbox and © OpenStreetMap contributors. Weather data from Apple Weather. You may use the app for your own personal use.

Changes and availability

We work hard to keep Snowly running, but we can't promise it will always be available or error-free. We may change or end features. If we change these terms in a significant way, we'll tell you in the app.

Disclaimers and liability

Snowly is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for injury arising from skiing, from relying on location, alerts or forecasts, or from the service being unavailable. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that can't be excluded.
