Privacy Policy

Last updated October 21, 2026

Snowly is an app for skiing with friends: it shows your team on the trail map, alerts you when someone goes offline, sends SOS alerts, and records your ski days. This policy explains what we collect to do that, who sees it, and how long we keep it. In short: no ads, no trackers, and your location goes only to the people you ski with.

What we collect

Who sees your information

Services we use

We use a small number of providers to run Snowly. They process data on our behalf and only for this purpose:

Data is stored in Hong Kong. If you're in mainland China or another country, your information is transferred there to provide the service.

On your device

Apple Health access is optional. If you turn it on, Snowly saves ski days to Health as workouts and reads heart rate from your Apple Watch workouts. We don't use Health data for anything else. The camera is used only to scan QR codes, the microphone only while you hold the talk button, and Bluetooth and nearby interaction only for adding friends and finding someone during an SOS.

How long we keep it

Your choices and rights

You can turn location sharing off or change who sees you in Settings › Privacy › Location Sharing, delete any ski day, and delete your account in Settings › Account › Delete Account—this deletes your data from our servers and revokes Sign in with Apple. You can also email us to access, correct, export or delete your information, or to ask a question about this policy.

Children

Snowly isn't directed at children under 14. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we'll delete it.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the date above, and tell you in the app for significant changes.
